About Us

What makes aifc different?

aifc takes a comprehensive and balanced approach to counselling training that integrates psychology, theology and spirituality. Theology helps us know and grow in God’s ways and increases our understanding of our need for Him. Psychology helps generate awareness of self, and spirituality involves developing your healing relationship.

aifc offers accredited courses, as part of the counselling training pathway, in partnership with Stirling Theological College and the University of Divinity, for those wishing to pursue or add to professional counselling qualifications.  aifc also offers Short Courses, to equip people as part of their own personal or professional development.  These courses may be offered live, or as online or pre-recorded webinars.

We are proud to be a Not-For-Profit where our aim is the advancement of counselling education and the mental health of our community in Australia. All our course fees are used to create valuable resources such as webinars, videos, blogs, course materials and the counselling coaching team to support the mental, welfare and spiritual health of our community. aifc has been a registered Not-for-Profit institution under the ACNC (Australian Charity and Not-for-Profit Commission) since 2012. For further information go to our page on the ACNC register.

Is it for me?

aifc accredited courses are for adults over 18 years of age.  aifc offers lots of flexibility by providing Full and Part-Time study options with flexible delivery options from fully online to blended course delivery.

Our online systems and processes enable students to study online from anywhere in the world, with a reliable high-speed internet connection.  Through the use of video conferencing and learner management platforms, students receive online training lectures, support from staff, and connection with other students to complete practical assessment requirements in an effective, practical manner.  Students are welcomed into the collaborative and engaging aifc community.

For those students who are available and able to join physical seminar days, these are offered at four major city locations across Australia.  Although not compulsory to complete an accredited course, students are strongly encouraged to attend these days where they can participate in value-add experiences to complement and supplement their other training activities.
