Whilst the Diploma course extends across the full 40 week study periods of year one and two, students can only claim Austudy/Abstudy for the year one and the first two terms of year two. This is because the final two terms of year two do not constitute a full-time study load. Prospective Diploma students are advised to take this into account in their planning and to keep the appropriate government agency informed of their correct student status.
