Upon satisfactory completion of the Advanced Diploma course, students will receive an attractive Advanced Diploma, and a transcript of their academic record stating that they have met the basic accredited academic requirements for counselling training. Being an accredited course this Advanced Diploma is nationally recognised.
Following graduation, it is expected that students who wish to practice counselling will:
· continue to be involved in ongoing education;
· continue to observe the ethical principles taught;
· have ongoing counselling supervision;
· continue membership of a recognised counselling association (CCAA, AAMFC, ACA, CAPA, etc.) and work toward full clinical registered membership; and
· seriously consider further formal counselling study, such as a graduate or post-graduate degree.
If these criteria are met, there should be no reason why the graduate cannot immediately practice supervised counselling privately or in the church.
