Vocational Opportunities

Graduates of the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma are qualified to work in a counselling clinic in a church setting. These qualifications are the minimal requirement for professional counselling in Australia.

Graduates with the AIFC Advanced Diploma are entitled to set up a private counselling practice as long as they continue with counselling supervision, continuing education, and membership of a recognised counselling association. It is recommended that they work in a clinic where more experienced counsellors also work.

Vocational opportunities in secular organisations and schools depend on the requirements of the organisation.
