Now you can study with aifc from anywhere! Our Distance-based Program is ideal for students who cannot get to their nearest centre, due to distance, or work/family commitments.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can still receive VET FEE-HELP or Austudy/Abstudy. When applying for Austudy/Abstudy you should emphasise that you are doing an accredited full-time course and registered through the National Office in Canberra.
A specialised distance-based trainer will guide and support you throughout the course, keeping in contact through various online means including Skype, moodle messaging and web conferencing. You can livestream seminar-based training (if offered at concurrent times to your units) or else will be able to access pre-recorded training videos of your units.
You are not required to attend any face-to-face sessions (thanks to Skype and the ability to upload videos) but you will get to know your trainer and other students through online means. Assessments are uploaded to our learning platform and consist of written, audio and video tasks.
We have two yearly intakes – early February and mid year in July. Enrolments open a couple of months prior to commencement.
