A Pathway for the Season You’re Stepping Into

Your Counselling Pathway starts with aifc

“Be prepared and equipped for your calling to help others.”

You have been equipped for this

Sharon’s journey from overwhelmed learner to qualified Christian counsellor
At her recent graduation, Sharon stood before a packed room and opened her speech with honesty and grace:

“There were definitely moments when I was practically begging for divine intervention. But just when I thought I had nothing left, God would provide the strength, the wisdom, or even just the quiet reassurance that I was on the right path.”

Like so many, Sharon didn’t begin this journey knowing all the answers. She began with a whisper of calling and a leap of faith.

    From self-doubt to sacred work
Sharon applied to study counselling in her mid-40s, nervous she might be too old or unable to remember how to study. But what she discovered surprised her:

“I Googled it — turns out, the average age of a counselling student is mid-to-late 40s. I wasn’t an anomaly. I was trending.”

Her studies didn’t just prepare her professionally. They transformed her personally. Through AIFC’s Christ-centred training, Sharon deepened her faith, overcame fear, and discovered how to walk alongside others in their healing with clarity, skill, and compassion.

“This isn’t just a job or a career. It’s sacred work. We’re not here to fix. We’re here to walk alongside.”

    What People Say

God opened my eyes to see how much people are suffering in secret out there and I see that they don’t know how to seek help, who to go to or where to go to. And I listened to God’s calling for my life and after doing research, I was drawn to study at aifc and since that day I have never looked back. I know God has transformed me through my time at aifc, I am more self aware. God has taught me to rely on him. Every counselling outcome is in His hands. It is really quite humbling and liberating.

    Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Christian)

I noticed that many male teenagers and men are falling through the gaps, with their mental health often overlooked. Many struggle with identity, and God has given me a passion to support them. Through aifc, I’m learning how to collaborate with others and engage in crucial conversations. Studying Christian Counselling at aifc has been inclusive and has transformed my perspective.

Advanced Diploma of Integrative Practice (Counselling)

In my role at the school, I noticed many parents in need of support, and many youth feeling lost and anxious. I was concerned that I wasn’t equipped to help. Finding aifc, with its biblically integrated courses, was reassuring. I wanted a Christian course that would allow me to guide others with the wisdom of Scripture as I listen to them.
