Certificate in Christian Counselling
About the Certificate

The Certificate in Christian Counselling is a program of eight online short courses designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to become an effective people helper from a distinctly Christian perspective.

The Certificate is a popular option with pastoral workers in churches, church small group leaders, school chaplains, Christian NFPs, youth workers, social workers, teachers, parents, and others who may not be able to undertake long term, accredited study.

The Certificate course content is based on material from 7 units in our popular Diploma of Counselling qualification, but without onerous assessment requirements.

You will learn how to be a better, more effective active listener; how to support and promote social and emotional wellbeing; how to provide support to people in crisis; how to counsel people struggling with mental health, alcohol and other drugs issues; and how to support individuals experiencing grief and loss.

The Certificate can be completed online over 8 weeks. We have included regular online support webinars to help you keep on track and connect with our student community.
